Yuan Design, a leading name in bespoke luxury interiors, has once again been recognized on the global stage by winning a revered Luxury Lifestyle Award. The company is celebrated for its ability to create interiors that elegantly reflect the unique lifestyles of their clients. This latest accolade recognizes the company's dedication to customized, collaborative design, which transforms spaces into personalized works of art.
The Cottage, a 4,484-square-foot renovation located in the serene neighborhood of Valencia, Sungai Buloh, was completed in September 2023 after six months of work. Originally built as a residential bungalow and used primarily as a rental home, the property had seen minimal modifications over the years. Yuan Design was tasked with revitalizing the outdated space to create a warm, welcoming retreat for clients Emily and Jeff, a well-traveled couple with a passion for art and culture.
The design team embraced a farmhouse cottage aesthetic, incorporating authentic hardwood flooring, custom wainscot paneling, and rustic wood-planked ceilings. Large English windows were installed to flood the space with natural light, enhancing the home's cozy, sophisticated atmosphere. The interior merges rustic charm with modern functionality, with dedicated spaces for Emily's art collection and Jeff's nostalgic man cave.
"While we faced some minor challenges in sourcing materials that aligned with the couple's vision, we successfully navigated these obstacles to create an enduring, luxurious retreat that embodies the couple's diverse experiences and love for entertaining.
